Meet Anika Wilson... Creator & Host of The Women of Impact Online Summit!

I have one of my favorite ladies to feature this week, the incredible multi-passionate powerhouse Anika Wilson! I'm beyond excited to have her tell us about how she has taken her incredible conferences and created a virtual summit for women to access worldwide!
About Anika:
Anika Wilson has always been a trailblazer, a woman before her time. Her passion of advocacy began at the age of 14, she became a Date Rape Advocate in the community of Gainesville, Florida with the Corner Drug Store. Leadership was a calling in college as she served as the president of two Criminal Justice professional fraternal organizations. As adversity continued to consume her, she committed to pursuing a career in law enforcement.
She promoted rapidly in the Florida Department of Corrections finding that she wanted to do more. Mental health was a topic that continued to affect her family so she decided to pursue her career and education in Psychology. After working for 20 years in social services, mental health and counseling, she created Nobody Greater, LLC. She strives to help others pursue healing, passion and purpose in business, life and events. Advocating for others and teaching them to “Turn Your Pain Into Power” is her Calling, not her job!
Her education, tests, and testimonies are unique and PowerFilled.
Understanding the complexities of life, love, pain, hardship and lack of resources, Anika wants to ensure that no one suffers in silence, no one is left behind and no one is lost in the shuffle of life…….
The following is my Interview with Anika about the upcoming Virtual Summit, my questions in BOLD and her answers follow.
What inspired you to create the Women of Impact Conferences?
The Women of Impact Conference Series was created right as I was marrying my first love twenty years after we met. He is a decorated Marine that is driven, focused and organized yet somehow I felt as though I was losing myself. The Myself that had been through abuse, abandonment and neglect my whole life, from others and myself. The Myself that was hurt b every man that claimed to love her and the myself that was now vowing to honor this man and this country that I now must honor but yet I need to honor myself first. I attended a spousal orientation that was a room full of military spouses that basically vowed to support their spouses no matter what putting their jobs and dedication to the military before anything else. I saw the devastation in the room, the waisted talents of other women who have played second fiddle to their dreams, careers and educations as they supported their spouses through their careers with their dreams deferred. I knew I had to do something to show other women that you can do it all. Be a wife, a mother, an employee, a student, a business owner and whatever else you want to be despite the roles you play in the lives of others. Too often women are held accountable for raising children (at times alone), working two jobs, doing whatever they HAVE to rather than what they WANT to. That has to change. Women of Impact is a movement of women who vow to honor, educate, support and empower other women through collaboration rather than competition, through education and mentorship.
How did the Virtual Summit idea come about?
As my role of being a military spouse took over my ability to have the in person conference, I decided to create an online version to reach more women sooner and broader than the limitations of my location. We moved to Hawaii and my husband was deployed right when WOICS Atlanta was planned to occur yet I was unable to travel. I don't do barriers, I do bridges. The Online summit is my bridge. Women of Impact Conference Series will continue despite the challenges of my location and now we have an additional tool for women to use, a more assessable resource that will benefit EVERY woman.
Who is this Summit for?
This Summit is for every woman that has a Mind, Body, Soul, Spirit, Gift or Dream
This Summit is for that woman that has struggle with being comfortable in her own skin.
This Summit is for that woman that is trying to make sense of the crazy patters in her life whether it be relationship, failed jobs, parenting or whatever.
This Summit is for that woman that has suffered from anxiety, depression, trauma, self-confidence and self esteem issues.
This Summit is for that woman that wants to build an empire, or just start with a business.
This Summit is for that woman that wants to go back to school.
This Summit is for that woman that asks herself, is it just me? Or do all women......
What are you most excited about for the Virtual Summit?
I am most excited at the reach that the Virtual Summit has to reach women internationally, to touch them and guide them through self-discovery and leadership with resources and authentic sisterhood.
What can women expect to take away from the summit?
Women can expect to be enlightened by the powerful stories of the women that have triumphed through their journeys of enrichment. You can expect to relate to every woman, celebrate and learn from every women. You can expect to be inspired by every story to walk in your identity as a woman, a leader, a mother, a sister and a powerhouse in everything that you do.
