"Trusting" the Universe is nuanced... Law of Attraction Explained
Jun 07, 2025
We talk a lot about trusting the Universe will catch you - but that it ain't a game of chicken! It's about taking Inspired Action not wild action.
So, what happens if you played chicken with the Universe, and "lost"? I had just such a great question pop up on one of my posts a while back:
"What would you recommend for someone who decided to play chicken with the universe? Sank everything into a coach/program that didn’t create the ROI, now between a rock and a hard place. Feel like I’m aligned but it’s not working as expected."
First, I've heard this situation from a lot of people. For some of you, you hired a coach who ended up providing no value, for others it was a good experience but you're not seeing the ROI yet. Regardless of what the circumstances were, you're now finding yourself stuck and feeling the financial crunch.
A lot of self help and manifestation training talks about going "all in" but doesn't guide us on what that looks like, because it sounds like, "show a demonstration of your faith and you will be rewarded," but that's not really how it works. A leap of faith looks different for everyone, it's not always financial, and it doesn't always have immediate returns.
So, what now? It all happens for us not to us. Whether you invested in a coach who ghosted you, bought a workspace that had a pipe burst, hired a marketing consultant who didn't deliver, quit your job before your business was in the positive, or took any other leap that hasn't paid off yet, it's part of the bigger tapestry of your life.
Hindsight is 20/20, but in the middle of living it you can't see how your current situation is going to help you in the long run. As human beings we only see the tiniest sliver of the big picture, but the Universe knows everything happening to every particle throughout the entire Universe. It's a perfectly Orchestrated Dance!
Maybe being between the 'rock and a hard place' will help you learn that as bad as things may seem they always bounce back.
Maybe it's to learn an important lesson about money.
Maybe it's to illuminate a limiting belief that's been clinging on in your subconscious mind.
Maybe if you had a bad mentor, it would inspire you to be the best mentor ever so no one else has to experience BS like that.
Ask yourself:
What did I learn from this situation?
How is this helping me grow?
Find the gratitude.
There's always good in everything. Maybe when you invested in yourself it bolstered your faith in yourself. Maybe it gave you the confidence to let go of your old persona that you guised your true self with. Maybe, even though you don't see the results yet, it's allowed you to show up in your business in a way that is attracting all the right people, places, and events that will lead to success!
Make a list of 11 things you're grateful for about having taken the leap of faith. Get aligned with wealth. Money is energy. And time is an illusion. There are literally billions of dollars flying past you in the airwaves at all times. It's there, just waiting for you to grab some!
When we feel broke, we can feel physical pain. Also, when we made an investment, we deemed as "bad" or "dumb" we can beat ourselves up about it. Negative feelings around money puts the Law of Attraction into action to create more negative experiences around money. So, first of all, if you have guilt or anger about the investment, forgive yourself. Next, be grateful for the money you do have, no matter the amount. If you're totally broke and in debt, be grateful for financial institutions who lend us money to live in the meantime.
Then, dig into your money beliefs. What did you see, hear, and, experience, around money from birth to age 25? Those are the years where our beliefs solidify within the subconscious mind (our prefrontal cortex doesn't finish developing until age 25). Then examine what comes up - are they absolute truths, or just what your mind clung onto as a truth for you? Release the beliefs that don't serve who you are becoming.
Money vibrates on the frequency of love. Make a list of 25 things you love about money!
Be patient. No matter what you invested in and how it turned out so far, be patient. It taught you something either way. Remind yourself that it's a journey.
Get clear. What life are you building? Get really clear about what that looks like. Make a list of at least 100 goals from all areas of your life, big and small, that you'd love to achieve/experience.
Take intuitive action. Get quiet and listen to your heart. What is your intuition say is your first step to realizing those goals? Don't judge it, just do it!
P.S. if someone suggest you sell your car or get a second mortgage in order to hire them, run! Run fast!
