Payment Plans & Karmic Debt

abundance accessibility affordability business coach karmic debt payment plan sales support Aug 02, 2025

The other day, someone said to me:
"You offer longer-than-normal payment plans… do you ever run into problems with that?"

I smiled.
"Not really. Maybe 1% of the time, if that."

Truth is, extended payment plans have been a key part of how I run my business—and they’ve helped the right people say yes to powerful transformation.

Let’s dig into why this works and what you need to know if you’re thinking about doing the same.

1. Flexibility Creates Accessibility

Here’s the thing: most people don’t walk into a dealership and pay $30K for a car upfront.
They finance it over 3 to 7 years. Nobody questions it. It’s just how we access big investments.

Now imagine if we could only buy homes or cars in cash. Maybe 5% of people could own one. That’s it.

So why, as coaches or service providers, do we expect people to pay thousands in one lump sum?

Payment plans allow people to get the help they need now—not six months or a year from now—so they can actually create the income or healing or momentum that changes their life.

2. Trust Your Gut

I’ve been doing this since 2013. I’ve learned one huge lesson:
Your intuition is your most powerful screening tool.

If a client gives me the “off” feeling, it’s a no. Period.
I don’t need the sale. I need alignment.

Payment plans work best when you know exactly who your dream clients are—and when you trust yourself enough to say no to anyone who isn’t that.

3. Offer from Confidence, Not Desperation

This is where a lot of newer entrepreneurs go sideways.

They offer payment plans because they’re desperate to make a sale.
They think a “yes” from the wrong person is better than a “no.” It’s not.

When I used to do this, I ended up with late payments, broken contracts, and a whole lot of stress.
Now? I offer payment plans from a place of strength. If someone’s aligned and needs flexibility, I’ve got options. If they’re not? It’s a no.

Desperation repels abundance. Confidence attracts it.

4. Don’t Be a Hypocrite

If you’ve ever needed a payment plan to say yes to something that changed your life, you already know the power of flexible options.

So why not offer the same?

It’s wild how many people accept extended plans when they’re the client—but then turn around and refuse to offer them when they’re the coach.

If you needed it, chances are someone else does too.

5. The Commitment Myth

Let’s bust this one right now:

“People who pay in full are more committed.”

Nope. I’ve had just as many dedicated, powerhouse clients on payment plans as I have with lump sum payments.

Commitment isn’t about how they pay.
It’s about why they pay.

If they’re ready for results, they’ll show up either way.

6. Payment Plans Don’t Kill Pay-in-Fulls

A lot of coaches fear that offering payment plans means they’ll never see a full payment again.

That’s just not true.

In my business, many people still choose to pay in full—even when the option to pay monthly is right there.

You’re not replacing PIFs—you’re just expanding accessibility.

7. Many Pay Off Sooner

This one surprised me in the best way.

A lot of clients who start on a 6- or 12-month payment plan end up paying it off early.

Why? Because they’re implementing the work. They’re seeing results. They’re making more money.
So they pay off the remaining balance—sometimes just months in.

They got the support they needed when they needed it—and the ripple effect came fast.

8. Karmic Debt Is Real

Let’s talk about the rare times when someone ghosts.

You delivered. They vanished. The money stopped.

Here’s the truth: Nothing goes unbalanced in this Universe.

We’re all energy. Money is energy. Your services, your time, your attention—all energy.

When someone receives without reciprocating, a karmic debt is created.
Maybe they won’t pay you back directly. But that imbalance? It’ll catch up to them.

And you? You’ll be repaid in another form. From another source.
Because when you give from integrity, the Universe always, always restores the scales.

Bottom Line?

Don’t fear offering extended payment plans.
Don’t overthink them.
Don’t let scarcity steer your decisions.

When done from a place of clarity, boundaries, and confidence—payment plans change lives.

They’re the bridge between “I wish I could” and “I’m doing it.”

And that? That’s worth everything.
