Observations on the Coaching Industry at the End of 2022 by Celtic Cherokee

A few of my observations on the tear down of the coaching industry lately:

  1. Coaches not taking accountability for the sales tactics used to sell their services & products. As someone who was in big business I know it’s common, I actually have no problem with the use of these tactics IF & ONLY IF the coach stops hiding behind words like alignment & energetics etc. That becomes manipulation & predatory because people read that as genuine but what it actually is, is using words & emotions to manipulate. If you want to operate like big business than more power to you & I totally respect that but don’t sell it as more aligned than big business or as anti-capitalist because it’s not.

  1. Clients, former clients, prospective clients tearing down & bashing a coach only to then turn around and be in the comments of that same coaches videos loving them & saying how great they are. This is hypocritical & two-faced. This is NOT integrity, far from it. If you are going to stand against something a coach says or does then do it right. Don’t do it behind their back then kiss their @$$ to their face. Just don’t fucking do it. It’s disgusting & trust me people are seeing what you said on both sides of that fence.

  1. If you are with a coach & using the tactics or strategy they teach to try and make money for yourself then YOU are as much of a scammer as you claim they are. That is exactly what the phrase “It’s the pot calling the kettle black” means. You doing something you call someone else out for doing. If you are scamming or trying to scam others by selling shit you are not delivering, knowledgeable on or experienced in then you get scammed by the coach who taught you to do that…well my dear, that would be karma in action. Take some accountability for your actions & the choices you made.

  1. Coaches using cult-like tactics that are the same used in politics & churches. This has been going on for quite some time. This is not someone being genuine. There is a difference in passion/vulnerability/courage & emotionally manipulative speaking. As a follower please learn the difference (I’ll even teach you so you can protect yourself) and as a coach JUST STOP. Because there are people raised in religion & politics that see straight through this. It’s predatory & your business will suffer for it at some point. This is disingenuous & it includes pressuring & emotionally manipulating people into spending money they don’t really have on your services. (Btw cults do this too)

  1. If you want genuine & knowledgeable then be genuine & knowledgeable. If you want kindness show kindness & if you want accountability then be accountable.

  1. If you want a business that’s built to withstand storms then it’s time to learn what that means & learn it from the people who know. Nothing good is a get rich quick kind of business. And those don’t stand the test of time. So when you are looking for get rich quick while passing up the people worth real knowledge, experience & the ability to help you…well, to use an industry phrase, you are getting exactly what you pay for & what you believe you are worth.

I said what I said.
