Meet Stephanie Jones... The Boundaries babe!
Apr 10, 2024I am Stephanie - the Boundaries Babe. I empower busy moms to master time so you can focus on what matters most, your health and relationships. I am a mom of 3 and have held literally every mom title under the sun from young mom (having my first at 19), stay at home mom, work from home mom, work outside the home, step mom, single mom and entrepreneur mom.
What kind of work do you do?
I help busy and overwhelmed moms implement systems into their home and their schedule so that they can do more in less time, stop being the only person doing all of the things all of the time and teach simple ways to never run out TP, eggs, milk again and solving the what's for dinner dilemma.
I teach this through a 4 part interactive series where you get personalized assistance and feedback from me so at the end of the session you have a plan with actionable steps and a working system.
What inspired you to get started as an entrepreneur?
Deciding I wanted to travel now and live my life on my terms, in freedom.
Pre-pandemic I was in a corporate restaurant, as the only female manager on a team of 9 managers. When racism came up, I was told that we are a family and it was dysfunctional but we'd all work it out. I did not accept that answer.
After spending countless hours with HR, and getting everyone involved in the racist activities fired, I had a meltdown. This was not the way I wanted to live my life. I wanted to live and enjoy life now - not in my 60's/70's after retirement from a job I hated. So I looked for another way.
What was your biggest struggle to get things going for your online business?
Trying to do all of the things and not staying in my lane. I am a learner by nature and that led me to hiring coaches that were far above my level as a newbie, not understanding strategy because I was learning but not implementing.
Was there a time you thought about giving up? What kept you from quitting?
Heck yea!!! I am pretty stubborn and resilient. I can't imagine feeling "stuck" in a job making others a ton of money anymore. I want to show that it can be on our own terms. And strong bonds with other entrepreneurs.
What have you learned since beginning?
Your network really is your net worth. Being in a group of amazing women entrepreneurs that are collaborative is so inspiring and keeps me motivated on the days I don't feel like showing up.
Entrepreneurship is hard but so worth it! Slow down, do it on your terms. Set goals, slay them and keep the focus all while taking care of yourself.
What’s the best advice you’ve received?
Be the loudest person in the room (in the terms of the online space)
What advice would you give someone just starting out?
Don't do all of the things. You will actually burn out and growth will be slow. Pick one platform and go all in. Pick one offer and go all in. Focus on one thing. Tweak, revise and re-offer.
What’s the professional win you’re most proud of?
Putting myself out there to guest on podcasts and blogs. I am an introvert and that was scary at first but now I love it!
Which book(s) would you recommend to help entrepreneurs with success and personal development?
High Performing Habits, E-Myth, Profit 1st, Anything by Jen Sincero
Do you have a routine that you attest to your success? If yes, what is it?
Yes! I am a morning person so I start my day with work. I work until roughly 3-4pm and then take a walk, meditate and spend time with my girlfriend. We make dinner together at the end of our day and unwind. Taking care of your health and relationships is literally the most important thing in my opinion, the rest will come.
How has social media played a factor in your success?
It has allowed me to connect and gain insight and inspiration from others from all over the world. I have been able to expand my reach through podcasts, guest posting, networking and more. It isn't an easy platform to share your message on but it is worth it once you figure out where your tribe is.
What are the biggest social media mistakes you see commonly made?
Copying other people. Find your voice. Sell. Talk about you, your story and your offers. ALL the freakin' time.
What is the business tool that’s been most helpful?
Trello. I love having all of my thoughts and lists online and in one place that are easily manageable.
Is there something you wish everyone knew?
You have genius in you that others need to hear. You just need to pull it out and share it!
What’s coming up for you in the next few months?
Unlock Secrets of Your Success - Getting it Done (June 4-10)
5 day challenge where we will teach practical solutions to break the perfectionism, procrastination cycle.
What has being successful taught you?
We can all do hard things, determine the life we want to live in the way we want to. And that women raise the community when we have more resources available to us.
What are some fun facts about you?
I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness and now live my life as a lesbian (coming out in my 20's). I love Brussel sprouts (I could literally eat them at every meal!) I travel full-time with my girlfriend.
