What inspired you to write it?
After writing my book and personal story of divorce, “Freedom in Forgiveness”, many people came to me asking for more practical advice on how to heal and let go. This is where the idea for a journal came into play. I chose 21 days as that is how long it takes to form a habit. Each week incorporates actual journaling and activities that I did throughout my journey to healing.
What did you enjoy most about the writing process?
I enjoy when the ideas just flow through me. My creativity is highest when I meditate daily and connect to my higher power. My mind is flowing faster than my fingers can type.
What was the most exciting moment after it was published?
I would have to say when my published books came and I saw the finished product for the first time.
What do you hope readers will take away?
It is my intention that my readers devote at least 15 minutes daily and complete the journal. Many times, we buy a journal, get excited the first few days and then fail to be consistent. I love hearing feedback from clients who have completed it.
What inspired you to get started as an entrepreneur?
My journey as an entrepreneur began in 2012 when I started my network marketing business. This led to my personal development journey. I became a professional life coach and writer.
What was your biggest struggle to get things going for your online business?
My biggest struggle is being consistent and becoming better at sales.
Was there a time you thought about giving up? What kept you from quitting?
Yes there was a time when I thought about quitting my life coaching and writing. I allowed doubt and fear to get in the way of shining my light. My intuition and inner knowing of my purpose kept me committed to the process.
What have you learned since beginning?
I have learned that you can not accomplish everything at once. It truly is a journey and it is important to give yourself grace. There are many moving parts to being an entrepreneur.
What’s the best advice you’ve received?
The only way to fail is to quit. Where will you be in a year, in 5 years if you don’t stop?
What advice would you give someone just starting out?
Allow yourself grace. Focus on one thing at a time and become really good at it. Also, learn you zone of genius and possibly hire people to do the things that take too much of your time.
What’s the professional win you’re most proud of?
I would have to say self-publishing my book. It had been 5+ years since I wanted to write a book.
Is there a book you’d recommend to help with success and personal development?
The Game of Life and How to Play it
Do you have a routine that you attest to your success? If yes, what is it?
Whatever my goal is, set realistic time in my schedule to focus on it and do the work even when I don’t want to. Show up consistently.
How has social media played a factor in your success?
Social Media is how I connect, build my network, and where I get clients and sales.
What are the biggest social media mistakes you see commonly made?
When I see people copy and paste in messenger when I have no idea who they are and have not had any conversation with them previously.
What is the business tool that’s been most helpful?
I love Canva which is how I created graphics/ flyers for all social media and my online courses. I am just starting to use Kajabi and love what I see so far.
Is there something you wish everyone knew?
Skill takes time to learn so when you begin your business, allow yourself time to learn the skills necessary. Just like earning a college degree takes 4 years, commit to the process.
Also, it is important to be a servant leader from a soul level.
What’s coming up for you in the next few months?
Let it Go, Let it Flow challenge will run in a Facebook Group: March 1-21
Meditation Challenge will be available in March on Kajabi
I offer 1:1 Coaching as a service
I am currently writing another book and a children's book.
What has being successful taught you?
If you are not happy without success, you will not be happy with success.
What are some fun facts about you?
I studied abroad in Spain- I LOVE traveling. Dancing is my favorite- both Zumba and even Tap class.
