Interview with Frosina A. Ivanovic

Please tell us about yourself!

Hi everyone, my name is Frosina A. Ivanovic, and I’m the writer and creator behind Autumn and Bliss - a slow living lifestyle blog and brand rooted in simplicity, softness, and intentional living. I write about seasonal rhythms, simple self-care, slow routines, and gentle productivity to help you create a life and business that feels supportive and aligned.

What kind of work do you do?

I create thoughtful content and digital products around slow, simple, seasonal living, and soft daily rhythms to help you live and work at a gentler pace. On the side, I’m also a brand and web designer for soul-led businesses, helping them connect with their clients in deeper, more meaningful ways.

What inspired you to get started as an entrepreneur?

I didn’t start out wanting to be an entrepreneur. I started out wanting a quieter, simpler, more sustainable way to work and live. My blog grew out of a personal need for slowness and meaning, and over time it naturally evolved into a business that supports that way of life.

I also wanted to have a home for my creative writing and a blog was the perfect place for that. By sharing my journey, experiences, and what I’ve learned over the years, I wanted readers to find little parts to resonate with and hold onto to make their lives simpler and more aligned.

What was your biggest struggle getting started?

As a slow living blogger, my biggest struggle was keeping up with the urgency and speed of social media. I never resonated with the fast pace it required and I didn’t want to post just for the sake of posting, so I shifted my focus toward more visual platforms like Pinterest. Now I enjoy posting and sharing things with my community and I love the feedback I’ve been getting.

Was there a time you thought about giving up? What kept you from quitting?

Many times, mainly when comparing myself to other creators in my niche or during times of slower blog traffic. What kept me going was the inner calling and a strong pull to leave a legacy with my work. Also, the steady response from readers who told me my work made them feel seen, calmer, or less alone kept me going - and this matters more to me than metrics.

What have you learned since beginning?

Growth doesn’t have to be fast to be meaningful. Enjoying the journey will make you way happier than reaching the destination if you learn to notice the little things in life. You can have the perfect plan, but if it costs you your nervous system, energy, or inner peace, it’s not worth it. So, go with the slow ;)

What’s the best advice you’ve received?

“You can have a business that aligns with your life. You can make it your life’s work without sacrificing your wellbeing. It doesn’t have to be one or the other”.

What advice would you give someone just starting out?

Start smaller than you think you should. Listen to your body and intuition more than you listen to the advice online. And don’t build a business that requires you to compromise your values or who you are to keep it running.

What’s the professional win you’re most proud of?

Creating a slow living space online that feels safe, thoughtful, and unhurried, and that resonates deeply with people. Knowing that my readers return to my blog not for quick fixes, but for slowness, relaxation, and relatability.

Which books would you recommend for entrepreneurs and personal development?

  1. Wintering by Katherine May
  2. The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron
  3. The Simple Guide to Slow Living by Frosina A. Ivanovic (this one’s mine and I’m so proud of it!)

Do you have a routine you attribute to your success?

I wouldn’t say I have a strict routine – personally, I resonate more with rhythms. I try to start my days with quiet mornings, enjoying a cup of coffee and doing some journaling. I do soft and flexible daily planning instead of rigid goal-setting, and during the day, I do regular check-ins with my body and energy.

How has social media played a role in your success?

I don’t really use traditional social media. When I post occasionally, it helps people find my work, but my blog, newsletter, and Pinterest is where the deeper connection and slower conversations happen. These three places are the heart of my work.

What are the biggest social media mistakes you see?

I’ve never been a fan of chasing trends and posting just for the sake of it, so I’m not sure what works and what doesn’t on social media. I’ve seen way too many creators dedicate all their time and effort to it, when the truth is, it can all be gone in a day. So my advice is – own your platforms!

What business tool has been most helpful?

I use a few different tools to run my blog and create my products, and each has its own role in helping me run things smoothly.

Is there something you wish everyone knew?

You’re allowed to want a life and business that feel calm. Success doesn’t have to come with constant pressure or misaligned action. You deserve to live the life you dream of!

What’s coming up for you in the next few months?

I have big and exciting plans for my expanding my blog and serving my readers in 2026: Lots of new seasonal content, slow living resources, digital products to support your journey, a cozy podcast is in the works, and maaaybe even a book! ;)

What has being successful taught you?

That success isn’t always about achieving the end goal. It’s about finding joy in the journey and feeling aligned with what you’re doing.

Fun Facts About You

I love autumn, aesthetic living, baking, gardening, cozy scents, cats, and slow mornings. I try to live in alignment with nature’s cycles and find a lot of creative inspiration in life’s simplest moments.

How can our readers find you online?

You can find me on my website Autumn and Bliss https://www.autumnandbliss.com/

As well as follow me on Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram.

I also send a bi-monthly newsletter that’s become one of the main ways I connect with readers. It’s a quieter, more intentional space where I share seasonal reflections, personal notes, behind-the-scenes thoughts, and gentle prompts for slowing down, so I’d love it if you signed up!
