What kind of work do you do?

I’m an author, speaker, and coach who shares tools of transformation.

What inspired you to get started as an entrepreneur?

As I began implementing my 6-Step process to transform my life, people noticed my shift from anger and misery to happiness and cheerfulness. They wanted to know my secret. I felt compelled to help others by sharing my experiences.

I value the independence and flexibility that come with designing my own lifestyle. This approach allows me to have fun while helping others and continuing my journey of continuous growth.

What was your biggest struggle to get things going for your online business?

Mindset is a constant struggle. Just when I think I've overcome all my limiting beliefs, another sneaky one surfaces for me to uncover, trace back to its root cause, and release. It's like peeling an onion: with each layer removed, the next one brings its own challenges and can sometimes bring tears.

Was there a time you thought about giving up? What kept you from quitting?

I never considered giving up because this is my soul's calling. I’ve shifted my focus and now use my intuition to guide my next steps. I've come to see that some challenges were simply the universe preparing me for bigger and better ones ahead.

What have you learned since beginning?

I have learned that my superpower is telling stories that cross cultural boundaries and inspire people.  I’m amazed by the people who give me hugs expressing thanks for the inspiration.  While talking about meditation, I was thanked for the inspiration to start exercising.  While talking about why I wrote a self-help book in the fairytale format, I was thanked for giving an aspiring author motivation to keep writing.  While marketing a book I wrote for young adults, I discovered that my fans range from 8-80 years old.

What’s the best advice you’ve received?

Meditate

What advice would you give someone just starting out?

Meditate and find what really sparks YOUR joy.

What’s the professional win you’re most proud of?

I discovered that my fans range from the ages of 8-80. I moved one reader to review my book as a keynote address.  She wants the world to know that this should be required reading for young and old after seeing the transformation in her roommate after reading The Butterfly That Changed Everything

Which book(s) would you recommend to help entrepreneurs with success and personal development?

The Butterfly That Changed Everything

Do you have a routine that you attest to your success? If yes, what is it?

I use numerous forms of meditation.  From barefoot gardening, sound baths, past life regressions, to large gatherings where we do guided meditations, my routine includes all forms of meditation.  I love learning new modalities and have started sharing my own guided meditations.

How has social media played a factor in your success?

I have met some of the most amazing people on social media that led to my next best discoveries.  I transformed myself from an angry, frazzled government worker to a kind, spiritual light worker through the connections I’ve made on social media.

What are the biggest social media mistakes you see commonly made?

I made this mistake when I first started out.  I was trying to sell.  I had this amazing product that helped me lose a few pounds and begin my mindset shift.  I set out to sell this product to everyone I thought needed to know about it.  Now, I tell stories of transformation and the tools I used.  I allow people to get to know me.  I’m supportive and provide a community where we support and nurture each other.  Now people are asking how to buy the tools I talk about.

What is the business tool that’s been most helpful?

Canva is my creative outlet, my content creation space, my video editor

Is there something you wish everyone knew?

The deeper you dive into the entrepreneurial experience, the stronger your communication skills need to be.

What’s coming up for you in the next few months?

In October, I’m cohosting a retreat that will incorporate the change model from my book.  We will Connect With Our Inner Child to start the weekend of self-reflection and creative adventure.

What has being successful taught you?

Success comes from the most unexpected places when in a state of allowing.

What are some fun facts about you?

I use a lot of stories from my days in the Navy and Army to teach lessons.

I also use belly dancing to get people’s attention in networking events to let them know if they can’t belly dance, they need to use their words wisely.
