Interview with Carole Macleod

What kind of work do you do?

I’m an entrepreneur in the health and wellness space, focusing on hydration and preventative health. With a background in nursing, I’ve always been passionate about helping people improve their well-being, but I wanted to do it in a way that gave me more freedom and impact. Now, I educate people on the power of hydrogen-rich, alkalized water and how it can transform their health while also creating financial independence.

What inspired you to get started as an entrepreneur?

After years in nursing, I saw firsthand how much of healthcare is reactive—treating symptoms instead of addressing the root cause. I wanted to be on the preventative side of health, helping people before they got sick. At the same time, I was looking for financial freedom—a way to create generational wealth without sacrificing my time with family. When I discovered the business model I work with now, it was a perfect fit: helping people get healthier while also giving them a vehicle for financial freedom.

What was your biggest struggle to get things going for your online business?

Shifting from nursing to entrepreneurship was a huge mindset shift. In nursing, you follow protocols; in business, you create your own path. Learning how to market online, build a brand, and step outside of my comfort zone was a challenge, but I leaned into it.

Was there a time you thought about giving up? What kept you from quitting?

Of course! When you’re building something new, self-doubt creeps in. There were times I questioned if I was on the right path, especially in the beginning when I wasn’t seeing results as fast as I wanted. But I refused to go back to trading my time for money in a system where I had no control. Seeing the lives I was impacting—both in health and finances—kept me going.

What have you learned since beginning?

Success isn’t about talent—it’s about consistency and belief. You don’t need to be the best, but you do need to show up every day, stay coachable, and take action even when it’s uncomfortable.

What’s the best advice you’ve received?

"You don’t need to be perfect, you just need to start." I used to overthink everything, but success comes from taking action and figuring things out along the way.

What advice would you give someone just starting out?

💡 Get clear on your "why." There will be challenges, but if your reason for starting is bigger than your excuses, you’ll find a way. Surround yourself with mentors, stay consistent, and don’t be afraid to invest in yourself.

What’s the professional win you’re most proud of?

Seeing people I’ve introduced to this business pay off debt, quit jobs they hated, and take control of their health. It’s not just about the income—it’s about changing lives.

Which book(s) would you recommend to help entrepreneurs with success and personal development?

Do you have a routine that you attest to your success? If yes, what is it?

Yes! Morning mindset work is key. I start my day with hydration (of course!), gratitude, personal development reading, and fitness. Then, I focus on income-producing activities before anything else.

How has social media played a factor in your success?

It’s been everything! Social media allows me to reach and educate people worldwide. Instead of relying on traditional sales tactics, I focus on providing value, storytelling, and connecting.

What are the biggest social media mistakes you see commonly made?

1️⃣ Being too salesy—people want connection, not constant promotions.
2️⃣ Not being consistent—showing up once a month won’t build trust.
3️⃣ Overthinking content—progress is better than perfection!

What is the business tool that’s been most helpful?

💻 Canva for branding, and Zoom for team training and connections!

Is there something you wish everyone knew?

Your health is your wealth. We spend so much time trying to fix problems after they happen, but prevention is the key. Hydration, proper nutrition, and mindset matter more than people realize.

What’s coming up for you in the next few months?

Collaborations with top leaders, and expanding my reach to help more people take control of their health and finances.

What has being successful taught you?

Success isn’t just about money—it’s about impact, freedom, and choices. And the only way to fail is to quit too soon.

What are some fun facts about you?

  • I used to be an ER nurse, but now I’m obsessed with preventative health and longevity.
  • I’m passionate about helping women create financial independence.
  • I believe water is one of the most underrated health solutions out there!
