Keeley is on a mission of self-love, discovery, and finding more enjoyment in such a chaotic world. As a life coach, speaker, and writer, she is always encouraging others to share their stories and to explore those stories in a safe, productive way.

The following is from Guest Blogger Keeley Winfield about her New Co-Authored Book "It's OK to Not be OK":

The book is called "It's ok to Not be Ok" and it's a collaboration of our stories of overcoming, living with mental illness, or losing someone. Or some combination there of. My chapter is titled "Moving Forward with Grief" and it's my story of losing my mother to suicide at 19 and moving and growing through that.

I did a public speaking course with the visionary author, Kim, and several of the other authors, and Kim asked me I wanted to contribute my story! I was really scared to share this story at first and it has turned out to be extremely healing and freeing to share this story with the world!

I always loved reading, but being diagnosed with ADHD at a young age and always being put down for my handwriting and fine motor skills, I assumed this would never be possible for me. I was told I was creative because I couldn't draw and I believed them for way too long!

My biggest struggle in the creation process was how much is my story to share and what isn't. Drawing those boundaries around my story, what was my sisters story to tell or not tell, my dads, and my moms. I excluded several things that I decided simply weren't mine!

It was really fun to play with the format! I ended up putting in a format that I think turned out really cool! I broke it down into what stage of grief I was in when each event happened. People hear about the stages of grief, but so rarely see how they actually work or that we rarely only visit the stage once when we've lost someone.

I hope that people take away hope. That people see that they're not alone. That other's struggle. That it's okay to struggle and that we're all in this together. I hope people feel heard and that it gives them the strength to keep going.
