Tell us about your books! What do you love to write about?

I started out writing poetry books because I had ten notebooks full of them. I didn’t want them to sit and collect dust on my bookshelf. Those turned into my three poetry books, Lithium Dreams And Melancholy Sunrise, Shadow Of Soul, and The Safety Of Objects.

Then I wrote two children's books, Don’t Eat Your Boogers (You’ll Turn Green) and Brock’s Bad Temper (And The Time Machine) that were inspired by the children I took care of in daycare.

Now I am strictly a romance author. The first book in my romance series, Someone To Catch My Teardrops was released on May 10th, 2022 and I am currently working on revising the second book in the series to be released in early 2023.

I love writing romance and since I’m writing a family saga, I love figuring out how characters are connected and how to build out each episodic story.

What inspired you to get started as an author?

I’ve wanted to be an author since I was nine years old. I loved writing as a child just as much as I loved reading as a child. I’ve always known I would be an author one day.

What are your favorite books to read?

I love reading clean and wholesome romance novels, both stand-alone and in a series. Two of my favorite authors are Debbie Macomber and Karen Kingsbury. However, if the book blurb catches my attention I will read it, my reading tastes are pretty diverse.

For shoppers holiday shopping for their loved ones, tell us who are your book(s) for?

My poetry books are for those who love poetry. My children’s books are gauged for ages 7-12 and both have a fun story with a lesson in them. My romance, Someone To Catch My Teardrops, is for fans of clean and wholesome, and faith-based romance like Debbie Macomber or Karen Kingsbury.

What’s the message you want to get out to people this Holiday Season?

Take a chance and pick up a book from an author you’re not familiar with. You (or your loved one) may find your new favorite author.
