About Brooke

Brooke Schultz is a Forbes-published Online Business Coach for women who are ready to build 6/multiple 6 figure online businesses that let them live more and work less! After ditching her day job as a therapist, Brooke now works with her clients to go bottom-of-the-ocean deep into how to run a business that is successful, sustainable and enjoyable . When she’s not teaching women how to build thriving lives and businesses, you can find Brooke doing CrossFit, cuddling her dog Sophie or playing on a sandy beach in Florida with her hunk of a fiance, Max.

The following is my interview with Brooke. my questions in BOLD her answers to follow.

What kind of work do you do?

I work with my clients in various formats, ranging from 1-on-1 coaching to courses, to reach them how to build online, service-based businesses. Together, we dive into the mindset work and strategies they need in order to set them up for success.

What inspired you to get started?

I actually started my business doing life coaching. With a background in therapy and a desire to start a business, it was the obvious next step. After I hit the 6 figure mark in 6 months, I realized I was an anomaly and the world needed more of what I had. That is when I transitioned to business coaching!

What was your biggest struggle to get things going?

I wouldn't say that this was a struggle so to speak because I'm a firm believer in falling forward. Everything happens for a reason and this was a huge learning experience for me. At the beginning of my business, I was spending way more than I needed to. So I was working hard, making money, but a good portion of the money I had flowing in was going right back into the business. While it is necessary to reinvest back into your business, I was reinvesting too much. It was definitely a process to learn what the right amount of investing was!

Was there a time you thought about giving up? What kept you from quitting?

I think we have all experienced those moments where we want to quit. Whether it is a failed launch or even just a bad day, I think it's safe to say we've all gone to that place emotionally. For me, my fiance has always been my rock. Any time I've been hard on myself, frustrated with business, or experienced anything less than ideal, he has always been my support system, sounding board, and my tough love reminding me that the world needs what I have!

What have you learned since beginning?

I could go on forever! I am always learning new business tools and strategies to share with my clients. I am always learning more about myself and my own business. I am literally always learning. I think one of the biggest things I have learned would have to be my ability to create my reality. Prior to starting a business, I didn't believe that I created my life. I believed I was a product of my circumstances. Running this business and teaching amazing clients how to do the same has taught me that WE are responsible for our realities. WE create our lives. I don't experience $30K cash months because of my circumstances - I created it.

What’s the best advice you’ve received?

The best advice I've ever received would have to be from my dad. He taught me growing up that it is always okay to seek support. Whether it's seeking support in a sport, seeking emotional support, or seeking business guidance, there is absolutely nothing wrong with letting people know you need help. Nobody is perfect and so why pretend that we are?

What advice would you give someone just starting out?

Never ever quit. Ever. There are times it is going to feel really easy and you're going to love everything about your business. There are also going to be times where you struggle and wonder if it's worth it. It is okay to restructure your business. It is okay to take a day to practice self-care. But never ever quit!!!! Remember you are exactly where you need to be.

What’s the professional win you’re most proud of?

There are so many wins that I am proud of. I think the #1 that comes up for me would have to be my first 6 figure launch!!!! It's an amazing feeling to go from my very first launch where I sold 0 spots to another program that brought in 6 figures of revenue!!!!

Is there a book you’d recommend to help with success and personal development?

My favorite book is You Are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero!! It's so so so good.

Do you have a routine that you attest to your success? If yes, what is it?

I do have a routine that includes my CrossFit classes, time with my fiance, and self-care time, but honestly, what I attest to my success is my unwavering consistency. Be consistent and show up in your business even when you don't see results...even when you don't want to...even when it feels hard!

How has social media played a factor in your success?

Social media has allowed me to serve on an incredibly large scale! It provides me the opportunity to serve clients from all over the world rather than just my community!

What are the biggest social media mistakes you see commonly made?

The biggest mistake I see entrepreneurs making on social media is writing who you are and what you do and then expecting the clients to come. It takes much more than that! It takes marketing. It takes relationship building. It takes stepping out of your comfort zone and connecting with ideal clients.

What is the business tool that’s been most helpful?

Having my own coach. Yes, I am a business coach and I always have my own coach. There is nothing wrong with seeking support. It is the most important thing to have in a business! So whether you are on day 1 of your business or are working to scale to 7 figures, having your own coach is a complete game changer!!

Is there something you wish everyone knew?

How to be kind. There is not enough kindness in this world and it's really not that hard to be kind!

What’s coming up for you in the next few months?

Personally, I'm getting married in a few short months!! And professionally, I have the release of my biggest program to date, Brooke's Sales Bootcamp!

What has being successful taught you?

I honestly don't even think I can answer this question because we'd be here all day. I've learned more than I can ever articulate!!!!

What are some fun facts about you?

I'm a crazy dog mama (like actually crazy...but at least I own it!). I love CrossFit and am one of those crossfitters that talks about it all the time. I am a crazy traveler - this year alone, I'm off to Thailand, Cambodia, and Japan! :)
