Tell us about your business! What do you sell?
Fur Paws Boutique was created due to the need for a safe, clean, organic,
natural pet bed to assist cats and dogs to live a longer, healthier life.
Currently, 99 percent of pet beds on the market are full of toxins such as
formaldehyde, lead, mercury, arsenic, VOC's, flame retardants and many
more. There is no regulation on pet beds. So, we have made it our mission
to rid these toxins from our furry family's lives by providing handmade
natural pet beds free of toxins that hurt our furry family.

What inspired you to get started as an entrepreneur?
Family is what drives me. This includes my furry family. They mean the
world to me. I am a Virtual Assistant and one of my clients helped teach
me that our pet beds are full of toxins that are killing our furry family by
years. When I found out that the memory foam beds that I had for my 2

pups were actually the worst option, I set out to find a natural bed. After
searching and finding the cost a bit more than $2000 for my pups, I realized
I could make a pet bed that was more cost effective than what was on the
market so that the masses could enhance their pet’s lives with better pet
beds. So, I called my mom, now partner, to help me pinpoint the right
patterns necessary for two bed options and a blanket throw. This is where
Fur Paws Boutique comes in.

Why do you think it’s important for holiday shoppers to buy from
Small Businesses this year?
Small Businesses offer so many different options to the holiday shopper.
Small Businesses also depend on our shoppers and it means so much to
each of us that you chose to shop with us rather than big businesses. With
the increased inflation and change in the economy, I think this year is so
important for the small business.
