Meet Ali Valdes... Office Management Specialist
Jun 09, 2020Interview with Ali Valdes.
From Ali:
I started Ali Valdes Office Management out of a deep desire to help people do management better. Management can be a thankless job. It can be complicated. It can also be really hard to do really well. I know because I have worked for ineffective managers. I have also worked with some amazing managers. I've studied the masters; I've learned the skills and I've been showing managers worldwide how to do it better. I have helped CEOs, executives and managers increase their profits and incomes while continuously engaging their employees. My ultimate goal is to create stronger, happier, and more successful managers. I teach CEOs and their workforce the fundamental management skills and address the critical thought processes that most organizations and trainers are not equipped to talk about. I help them change by revealing excellence in themselves that they barely knew existed.
What kind of work do you do? I help CEOs improve their processes to reduce waste and grow profits. I specialize in HR management, bookkeeping and business systems. I provide both 1:1 coaching and actual admin support
.
What inspired you to get started as an entrepreneur? I wanted the freedom to make my own choices about the way I lived my life. I was sick of the rat race and decided to live life on my own terms. I needed to show my daughter that you can do anything you put your mind to.
What was your biggest struggle to get things going for your online business? It's always hard when you start out to find clients but it just takes time to find your ideal avatar. There is trial and error. I believe consistency is key. You just keep going and keep trying and eventually you will find that person you can help.
Was there a time you thought about giving up? No. I already decided that this is it. This is what I'm supposed to be doing. Quitting isn't in my DNA.
What kept you from quitting? My determination to have true freedom in life.
What have you learned since beginning? People want to genuinely connect with you before they buy anything from you. They have to trust you and that takes time. It's not a race- it's a marathon. Providing value and assistance gives people a chance to see your authenticity.
What’s the best advice you’ve received? Discipline is important. You will not always want to do something but discipline ensures it gets done despite your mood.
What advice would you give someone just starting out? Don't give up. 97% of people give up and they end up working for the 3% that didn't. You have to believe that you are going to succeed or it will never happen. Limiting beliefs provides limited outcomes.
What’s the professional win you’re most proud of? Most recently I transcribed 21 hour-long meditation videos in two days and that was hard AF! Suffice it to say I will not be transcribing for a while lol!
Is there a book you’d recommend to help with success and personal development? Yes! The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey and Atomic Habits by James Clear. Both are laser focused on restructuring your habits which basically restructures your life.
Do you have a routine that you attest to your success? If yes, what is it? Yes, I start everyday praising God for waking up. I read my devotional and meditate every morning, which really allows me to focus and set my intentions for the day. If I miss parts of my routine, I feel unfocused. Mornings are definitely a huge part of success as an entrepreneur.
How has social media played a factor in your success? I've met several new clients and affiliate partners on Facebook. It's a great way to meet like minded people in every nation of the world.
What are the biggest social media mistakes you see commonly made? Definitely bombarding people with CTAs as soon as they become your friend. I believe in genuine connections and really getting to know what that person's pain is so that you can help genuinely. i like to have more of a service mindset- how can I help you?, not how can i get you to pay me?
What is the business tool that’s been most helpful? Dubsado is my favorite! Everything you need to serve your clients in one centralized location! Best CRM I've seen.
Is there something you wish everyone knew? I wish everyone knew that they have the power to decide what kind of life they have. Our minds are so powerful. We can literally create when we speak. I think if everyone knew this, people would be happier and in turn, the world would be even more beautiful to live in.
What’s coming up for you in the next few months? Just hoping to help more people and spread more education about management. Saving the world from bad office management one CEO at a time 🦸♀️
What has being successful taught you? Mindset is everything. Success is a mindset.
What are some fun facts about you? I am a Leo in the truest sense of the zodiac sign, mom to one amazing teenage girl, Tupac is my favorite rapper of all time, I have double jointed shoulders and I have Vitiligo.
