You are a published author, tell us all about your book!
My book is about overcoming trials and tribulations in life. The book wasn’t written to give the “What” of the trial but discusses the “How” I got through the trial, Therefore, I would like to take the opportunity to provide the background.
My book was written as the result of me going through the hardest trial in my life thus far-Infidelity & Betrayal in my marriage. I was prompted by God to write about what I was learning by “letting go” and surrendering to His will & timing in order to restore/renew my marriage. He gave me Lessons, Tools & Results (that I provide my readers in the book) by leaning on my Faith and allowing Him to fight my battle of overcoming the betrayal that seemed to consume my thoughts and left me in a lonely and dark place. It’s a real-time account of my healing process as I was going through it back in the Fall of 2018. And an unfolding for me of what true forgiveness and unconditional love really meant. It’s the realest account into my feelings, pain and aha moments as they were playing out in the darkest time of my life.
What inspired you to write it?
God!
As I was coming out of my prayer closet one day in unbearable emotional pain at the answer I received from praying-to STAY in the marriage and He would make it right. I also heard the prompting that I should write about what I was going through. I remember instantly thinking, “There’s NO WAY I’m going to write about being cheated on.” But then it came to me not to write about the “What” but to write about the “How.” So that night I sat down to write and the words just flowed and the healing began.
What did you enjoy most about the writing process?
It was so therapeutic for me. It was an intricate part of starting my healing journey. Writing, at first seemed to be reliving my greatest Emotional Pain…but soon became something that gave me peace & comfort. Writing the real emotion, pain and angst of the situation allowed me the healing I so desperately needed. And with each word I wrote…I envisioned it as putting my broken heart back together piece by piece.
What was the most exciting moment after it was published?
Realizing that out of the darkest season of my life, I had recreated myself into the woman I was created & called to be! And if that wasn’t big enough I fulfilled a dream of mine that I’ve had since I was a teen. A dream that I totally NEVER thought would happen-writing a book and becoming a published author!
What do you hope readers will takeaway?
I pray that readers will take away that they can get through absolutely ANYTHING! Even when you are in the darkest parts of your trial feeling as though you are drowning… YOU CAN GET THROUGH ANYTHING!
It’s at that point that you need to look for the little glimmer of light to help pull you out of the darkness. Just like the lotus flower that grows from the thickest mud in the depths of the water that ultimately grows into a beautiful bloom by seeking out those little glimmers of light. We can do that too!!
What inspired you to get started as an entrepreneur?
I’ve always known that I wanted to do my own thing. I’ve worked in Corporate for over 20+ years and although Entrepreneurship didn’t come to me early on in life, I always held a space for it knowing that one day if I continued searching for my “thing” my “niche” it would happen. Who knew it would be after being in 10+ different MLMs over the last 15 years it would finally come to me by overcoming betrayal/infidelity. But it Did!
And by finding Core Wound Healing™️ I was able to find and step into my divine purpose- and I guide others through their Healing Journeys and help to change their mindsets by coaching them through a Mindset Makeover!
What was your biggest struggle to get things going for your online business?
Finding the time and feeling secure in what I was bringing to the World with my sharing my story, gifts of Healing & Coaching.
Was there a time you thought about giving up? What kept you from quitting?
Yes, there were many, with the main one being that I thought I was just too old! I felt like I was starting way too late in life for me to make a difference.
However, I didn’t quit because I figured that God didn’t bring me THIS far for nothing. So again, like when writing my book, I’m doing MY part while surrendering to His will and timing. And I KNOW the blessings WILL come!
What have you learned since beginning?
That you MUST keep going!! As long as you continue to put one foot in front of the other each and every day you can’t help BUT to move forward!
What’s the best advice you’ve received?
“What you focus on you get more of.”
I’ve heard many motivational speakers say that over the years… but I never quite understood how powerful this statement was & is until writing my book. It FINALLY clicked!
What advice would you give someone just starting out?
Work in silence…
I’ve found that other people’s opinions/suggestions/judgements can sometimes negatively impact you and your dream when first starting out.
What’s the professional win you’re most proud of?
Writing my book has been the catalyst to bringing me so many opportunities that are in line with my calling and mission to help others. And was THE thing that started my journey in healing which has truly changed my life!

Do you have a routine that you attest to your success? If yes, what is it?
Morning Prayer, Meditation and Journaling.
Being able to sit in the morning silence/stillness and focus on my inner self, gives me a sense of clarity and allows me to be centered before walking fully into the day.
How has social media played a factor in your success?
To be quite honest… I’m just getting started with Social Media as it pertains to my Book and Coaching Business. However, I can already see how it is a great tool for sharing my story & my purpose in an organic way that has the capability of reaching multitudes of people!
What are the biggest social media mistakes you see commonly made?
I think the biggest mistake made is NOT sharing your own Authenticity! So many people see other people’s Social Media success and want to “copy” what they do thinking it will bring that same success. But people can totally see through that! The best thing is to BE YOU and grow your Brand organically!
What is the business tool that’s been most helpful?
I utilize the steps from the book “The Go Giver” and being a Servant Leader!
Is there something you wish everyone knew?
I wish everyone knew about Core Wound Healing™️ and how facing your pains, traumas and self-limiting beliefs and healing them is Life Changing!
What’s coming up for you in the next few months?
I’m currently working on a course that is intended to help others live their lives from a spiritually elevated place instead of the ego.
What has being successful taught you?
It has taught me that we ALL have the capability of living our dreams; but we first need to get out of our own way!
What are some fun facts about you?
I LOVE daily Green Smoothies, Meditation, and my Crystal Collection and 80’s/90’s music changes my mood! If I’m having a less than awesome day it instantly puts a smile on my face!!
