Interview with Jennifer Baio

I’m Jenn, a momma of 2 boys in her late 30’s, who loves coffee and tacos. My love for Starbucks is widely known, and I collect the “You Are Here” mugs when I travel. I have so many I had to put some away in a box, while I try to find a better way to display them. I’m a psychic intuitive, who specializes in energetic healing on the quantum field. What brings me joy is watching the level of trust and comfort my clients have with me as I help them crack emotional barriers wide open, so we can view and heal those secret parts of themselves. Their joy and elation bring me such a deep sense of peace and happiness.

What kind of work do you do?

I am an intuitive energy worker. I specialize in the DNA Activation and soul restoration of women. DNA Activation is a quantum healing modality that energetically restores dna strands back to their original condition. Apart of this process is healing any sort of emotional barriers that come through during the energetic healing process, such as major events that have impacted the trajectory of your life.

What inspired you to get started as an entrepreneur?

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial heart. I’m a licensed hair stylist by trade and worked for myself off and on for 16 years. A motivating factor for me to be an entrepreneur is that as a parent, I wanted to be able to decide for myself where I will spend my time and how I am able to be present in my children’s lives. We can never get time back, and I refuse to have regrets about missing big and little events in their lives.

What was your biggest struggle to get things going for your online business?

My biggest struggle was my belief system. I have had to overhaul my emotional responses to business and life. An entrepreneur can not expect to be successful, and have others believe in them if THEY don’t believe in themselves.

So. Much. Inner. Work.

Was there a time you thought about giving up? What kept you from quitting?

I have given up. And I’ve sat with that decision, felt firmly I’m not cut out for this. I woke up a few days later and literally laughed out loud at myself. I’m built to do the hard stuff; I’ve always said I have broad shoulders for a reason. I’m able to carry a heavy load. Entrepreneur life is not all roses, but there is nothing better and more fulfilling than seeing the energetic shift, and the happiness shine out of a client’s face as I help them knock down those tricky barriers they’ve built.

What have you learned since beginning?

I’ve learned that no one’s business will look the same as someone else’s. Authenticity rules in this arena, without being unapologetically myself I will not connect with my tribe.  Also, there are no shortcuts. Show up, put in the time doing the inner work, show up for your people every day in some way to add value to their life.

What’s the best advice you’ve received?

It’s ok to change directions

What advice would you give someone just starting out?

There is so much advise out there. Don’t bother jumping in and trying to take everyone’s advice. Sit in the stillness, center yourself, and speak with your highest true self. There lies the key, self-exploration will lead you to where you can find the information you need. You will not and should not resonate with everyone whether that’s a coach or a client.

What’s the professional win you’re most proud of?

Stepping out of the spiritual closet and directly into the limelight. I no longer hide my psychic abilities and that was a huge thing for me with my family and co-workers. I can’t lead by example while hiding my true self.

Is there a book you’d recommend to help with success and personal development?

You are a Badass at Making Money by Jen Sincero. I listened to this on a drive along Lake Michigan toward Chicago. I had so many ah-ha moments I used my personal phone to listen and taking voice memo notes on my work phone.

Do you have a routine that you attest to your success? If yes, what is it?

A morning routine is where it’s at. I start with a glass of water, hop in the sauna for 20 minutes. After the sauna I’m warmed up enough that I can flow through a few yoga poses to help with my hips and back..I have a pretty bad case of scoliosis so I struggle with flexibility. I make my cup of coffee and bring it to my room to meditate. I do a minimum of 10 minutes. Sometimes I have an intent, like on a Sunday: where do I need to be more present in my life this week//what does my business need from me this week. Or I take the time to simply breath deeply and allow whatever comes to me to make its way into my consciousness.

How has social media played a factor in your success?

Social media is how I’m able to connect. I prefer face to face 1:1 work, but within the spiritual community its easier to reach my audience via Live streams and strategic posts. 95%of my clients have come to me by simply seeing me live and wanting to work with me because they liked my energy.

What are the biggest social media mistakes you see commonly made?

Showing up at someone other than who they truly are. Authenticity is the biggest key to any type of success.

What is the business tool that’s been most helpful?

Wifi and intuition.

Is there something you wish everyone knew?

Inner work never ends, that does not mean your broken, it means your having a human experience.

What’s coming up for you in the next few months?

Opening the cart for my 8 week program, Inner Restoration. I’ve revamped a few key aspects and will allow for continuous open enrollment moving forward. I’ve also got a podcast in the works.

What has being successful taught you?

Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy, but it is one of the more rewarding things in life. My kids have a front row seat to see how they can grow and expand while being completely themselves.

What are some fun facts about you?

I LOVE to cook. It’s my love language and part of how I heal others. I’m a semi “granola” mom, we keep things mainly toxic free but still have a slushie and cheeto’s now and again. I’ve got a large stock of essential oils and I use ‘em every dang day. When a recipe turns out ahhh-mazing I will actually hum and dance in my seat while eating. I love to grab a coffee, turn the radio up and sing my heart out while driving.
