5 Best Practices for Sponsors to Maximize Their Ad ROI

If you haven’t heard the news yet, Kajabi recently launched its brand-new Amplify platform; a native, expert-to-expert sponsorship network built directly into your dashboard. Instead of throwing money at unpredictable social media algorithms, Amplify allows you to buy ad space inside the email newsletters of other established Kajabi creators who already have warm, dedicated audiences.

Amplify is accelerating growth for entrepreneurs; getting your offer in front of aligned audiences rapidly speeds your growth. If you haven’t yet joined Amplify, log into your Kajabi, go to the side menu, and hit Amplify to get set up. This is the space to be in. If you’re already on Amplify, you see the power and potential of this space.

As a lead generation and conversion specialist with an audience of 300,000+ across our mailing list, blog, and socials, we see what works and what doesn't. We built this audience specifically to help entrepreneurs get visible.

If you are stepping into the Kajabi Amplify marketplace as a Sponsor to scale your business, you need a strategy that converts. Here are the 5 best practices we've learned to help you get optimal results with Amplify.

1. Freebies Perform Best

It’s very common when paying for ad sponsorship to want to place a paid offer in the ad, with the notion that you will get your ROI immediately. In theory that sounds great, but in practice it typically backfires.

Even with an excellent, well-positioned preface to your ad, you’re still brand new to the audience you’re being presented to. Instead, offering a freebie allows you to bring those new leads onto your mailing list, where you can use a nurture-to-sell sequence that will give you the best sales results, as well as long-term growth by building your mailing list asset.

2. Remove Barriers to Entry

Each “hoop” that needs to be jumped through means fewer people who will complete the sign-up process. Where possible, make signing up for your offer as simple as entering their name and email.

When people need to enter their mailing address, phone number, and/or set up a password upfront, we inevitably lose people. Additionally, if a coupon is required for free access, make sure it’s embedded in the link for a seamless experience and best lead capture.

3. Avoid Offering Calls

Keep in mind that there are two types of investment: time and money. A call sounds like a great offer—it’s a high-touch, high-value experience. Unfortunately, with a cold audience, it’s unlikely to get many or any registrations because people value their time and are wary of free calls turning into sales pitches.

If you want to offer a call, we recommend using the ad to give a freebie relevant to the topic of your call, then offer the call in the follow-up email sequence. This allows them to experience who you are and what you do, build trust, and gain interest in that next step.

PRO TIP: When you do offer that call in your follow-up sequence, make the outcome very clear, such as: “In 20 minutes we’re going to clarify your messaging.”

4. Check Your Link

After you make a payment for your ad spot, you can no longer edit the ad copy inside the marketplace.

Double-check your link before you finalize your payment! There’s nothing worse than losing interested leads because we’ve driven them into the internet void instead of our intended destination.

5. If You Do a Paid Offer, Make Sure to Add a Lead Capture

If you really want to have a paid offer for your ad, of course you can; but make sure to add a lead capture opt-in onto the sales page.

It could be a freebie, or even just something as simple as: “Not ready to invest yet? Hop on our mailing list so we can support you with our best tips in the meantime!” This ensures that even if they aren't ready to buy on day one, you don't lose the lead entirely.

We’re so excited to see you succeed on Kajabi Amplify!
